Pontoon Installation

Installation of pontoon involves: 

​

1. Planning and Design: Determine the purpose of the pontoon installation and evaluate the specific requirements such as size, weight capacity, and environmental factors. Considering factors like water depth, currents, waves, and the intended use of the pontoon. We use the best engineers and draft people to get what you want where you want it.

2. Pontoon Selection: TMDr chooses the appropriate type of pontoon system based on the specific requirements and the intended use.

3. Site Preparation: Clearing the area where the pontoon will be installed/moving pontoons to accept new is all considered in the installation process.

4. Connection System: Looking at the connection of the pontoon system based on the water conditions and the pontoon's purpose. This may be new brackets or strong backs to connect to other marina pontoons. This is normally engineered and parts are fabricated off-site in an ISO factory setting.

5. Pontoon Assembly: The assemblies team pull the pontoon sections, together this may involve connecting individual pontoons or assembling and re-using pontoons of different types to form a usable pontoon in a tight space. There is 1mm of play in a lot of the connections and when moving and aligning tonnes of pontoon into place this can be difficult and challenging.

6. Positioning and Alignment: We do a thorough measure so that the positioning and alignment of the pontoons are exact. We would normally get CAD drawings and engineering to get exactly what you're trying to achieve. ​

7. Maintenance and Monitoring: Offer services of regular inspection and maintenance of the pontoon structure to ensure ongoing long-term low maintenance and low cost to keep it in good working order.
